Forensic Evaluation Services

Forensic Psychology stands at the intersection between psychology and the legal system. Forensic psychology is a specialty within the areas of clinical, counseling, neuropsychological, and school psychology that involves an active engagement with the legal system to provide expert opinion. This area of psychology is involved in many areas of the legal system including criminal, juvenile, family, civil and elder law.

A Forensic Psychologist may conduct investigations, perform forensic evaluations, administer testing, and provide courtroom testimony. He or she is trained to translate psychological understandings into a legal context to allow for judical determination on a variety of legal issues with psychological components. A forensic psychologist is specifically educated and trained in the area of forensic psychology to perform forensic evaluations, to provide a report if requested to assist in legal determinations, and to provide expert witness testimony if needed.
