Richard F. Spiegle, Psy.D. is a forensic and clinical psychologist, licensed in the State of Colorado with over twenty-five years of experience. He received his Doctor of Psychology degree from the University of Denver in 1979. He is a Board-certified Diplomate in Forensic Psychology, and a longstanding member of both the American Psychological Association and the Colorado Psychological Association. He is a frequent speaker at professional meetings and continuing legal educational seminars on various topics related to psychological and forensic issues. Dr. Spiegle is an Adjunct Faculty member of Argosy University and teaches courses in the Forensic Psychology Department. He continues his affiliation with the University of Denver as a Clinical Affiliate and provides clinical supervision and training to graduate students.

Dr. Spiegle’s background, in addition to forensic practice, includes many years of consultation in such settings as Head Start, Federal Corrections, and Child Protection Services and for agencies serving the developmentally disabled. He provided services as staff psychologist in a community mental health setting and he was the Coordinator of After-hours Emergency Services, Continuity of Care, and Hospital Services at the same agency. He completed mediation training at the nationally acclaimed Center for Dispute Resolution in Boulder, Colorado. Subsequent to that, he co-founded a professional mediation practice. He has served on boards of director for several human services and mental health organizations.

Dr. Spiegle has been married for over 30 years, has seven children, and has lived in Colorado for over 35 years.

Dr. Spiegle has published two articles, co-authored with an attorney and another psychologist, on the subjects of Competency and Testamentary Capacity, which were featured in legal journals in Colorado, one of which is sited in the Colorado Revised Statutes. The full articles can be found below.

Dr. Spiegle

Meghan Brannick, M.A. obtained her Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver in June 2009. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2007. Ms. Brannick assists Dr. Spiegle with various aspects of his practice, including family law cases, psychological evaluations, and competency evaluations.  She administers psychological testing to clients and conducts clinical and collateral interviews.  When needed, she provides supervision for parents who require supervised parenting time with their children. She has previously served as a Deputy Probation Officer for Boulder County and has worked for Teaching Humane Existence, a sex offender management facility.

 
Tara Campana, M.A. Tara obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Colorado State University, and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, in Boulder, Colorado. She recently obtained CFI certification. She is fluent in Spanish and provides evaluation and treatment services to monolingual Spanish speaking individuals and families. She has provided psychological services for children and families, and currently provides services as a victim advocate for victims of domestic violence.

 

 

Tara Campana, M.A.
Sandi Raitz is the Office Manager, and has been working with Dr. Spiegle since October 2004.  Ms. Raitz previously worked as a legal secretary for over ten years, and was an administrative assistant in the banking and construction industries for several years.  Ms. Raitz handles all of the administrative operations of the office and keeps the practice running smoothly.
